Winters cool vibe quietly encourages us to hibernate

The mornings are slow to lighten and the evenings,  dark veil comes so quickly.

Winter is upon us , it’s harder to stay Motivated even for the most motivated people it is hard.

Yoga is not designed for the weight loss or fitness , but it will help the mind and body to stay Motivated  to stay healthy and happy .

Human Bodies are designed to move, our blood must pump, our heart rates should be elevated we need to puff , this invigorates our systems helping to get rid of stubborn toxins in our tissues as well as sending endorphins through us to make us happy , calm and the best version of ourselves .

So don’t skip your yoga class for the warmth of the couch in your lounge room, because the yoga class is the trigger to the whole cycle of wellness.

Strike a pose, it’s all part of a very ancient remedy to reduce disease and empower the mind.

Life can be a little simpler….if

Life is constantly changing, and can seem out of control.

This is only so if we let it be this way, breathing deeply for 5 breaths, will calm your central nervous system and give you clarity of mind.

Each time you feel overwhelmed practice this ritual and you will feel in control.

You are in the drivers seat, you are the one in charge of your own destiny, teach your body to relax and your mind will follow.

All things move in and out of our life, nothing stays forever, we are part of the universal flow, we must learn to let go.

Accept the challenges and they will flow in and out of your life, only then you will find true peace.

Time to Breathe and Time to feel

Posted by & filed under Blog.

When we take the time to breathe properly and feel that breathe coming in and out of the body we are doing yoga.

We are allowing all the fluids within the body such as the cerebrospinal fluid, blood, digestive juices, ect ect to flow with the breath.

We are recalabrating our energy lines, thats why we will feel calm, clear headed and emotionally stable.

We can see and feel with the body and mind what the actual situation is that we are dealing with right at this moment.

This stops the mind and brain leading us a merry dance with what might happen in the future and what happened in the passed last time or what happened to someone else ect ect.

We learn to look inside the body and mind and see who we are based on what we are feeling at this moment without the distractions of the past and present.

Little bit by little bit we build the bridge to self realisation and start to understand what is best for us and how and what we need to stay happy and balance mentally emotionally and physically.

Do we take ourselves too seriously

If you are a product of todays society, then you probably take good care of yourself. Drink the correct amount of water, eat clean, healthy food and organic food when possible. You probably spend the same amount of time exercising everyday as well as trying to get 8 hours of sleep every night.

If you are addicted to being healthy this can be an added stress, if at the end of each day you feel guilty because you have missed out on something from your routine because there was not enough hours in the day , it could be doing you more harm than good.

The body does like predictability, but instead of making your whole day a routine, my answer is keep the important things as the everyday routine  like mostly 8 hours sleep, definitely drink enough water but when it comes to the same exercise daily here is where you can mix it up.

Use accidental exercise if you know you have something on after work , like walking to work or use the stairs all day. Stand up regularly if you have a desk job and stretch while breathing deeply.

Make sure you slot in a few things that you enjoy during the working week so you look forward to each day and make them simple things which don’t cost a lot and won’t harm your health.

Treat yourself to little things like a glass of wine on the weekends, read your favourite magazine in the supermarket for free. Spend at least 10mins when you get out of bed on your yoga mat, this will start your day positively, if you can spare more time sometimes, do yoga for longer. Swim in the ocean make time to be alone and enjoy your own company.

Be a little bit flexible and add variety to your week, you will find life a lot less serious and more to laugh about.

Laughter is probably the best medicine  for you, and if your routine varies you will be a whole lot more relaxed about it and be more spontaneous and creative. Good luck with these changes and enjoy you because there is no one like you.
